Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific technique that collects and analyzes data to determine WHY behavior occurs and provides evidence-based methods to teach skills and implement change.

Applied Behavior Analysis

B.F. Skinner, the founder of ABA, believed that all behavior is learned and everything we do is conditioned by our environment — we do things because we get something out of it. For example: we avoid speeding to prevent getting a ticket, or we speed because we want to get somewhere faster.

DATA is what we depend on.

Although the practice of ABA has been mostly utilized in special education and children with Autism and/or other developmental disabilities, the science can be applied to any and all human behavior.

Essentially, we collect data so that we can measure the behaviors we are targeting, analyze the data to observe for patterns, implement evidence-based strategies to make a positive change, and continue to monitor data to measure outcome and validate if the changes made were in the direction anticpated for.

Data can be used to determine the functions of the individual's current health habits, to teach individuals how to implement new health habits, and to visually track their progress along the way.

It’s all about DATA not Diets

The goal of my coaching services is to use ABA to help align your behaviors with what you value in life to implement meaningful change.
